Konnichiwa (Hello), skincare enthusiasts! Welcome to another post where I share my favorite skincare routines and products. Today, I’ll be focusing on one of my absolute essentials: face masks. They’re a fantastic way to pamper your skin and give it the boost it needs. Also using a face mask is convenient even on busy mornings, and it prevents your face from getting dry after a bath with the kids. You know what I mean;) Plus, I’ve found some fun and unique Japanese face masks that make excellent souvenirs. Let’s dive into my favorites!

Morning Routine: Fresh Start

Step 1: Cleansing

I start my day with a gentle cleanser, Curel Foaming Facial Wash to remove any impurities that accumulated overnight. A clean canvas is essential for the next steps.

Step 2: Hydrating Face Mask

In the morning, I prefer a hydrating face mask to give my skin a fresh, dewy look. My top pick is the Lululun 32pc Facial Sheet Mask. This is a well-balanced face mask that helps prevent skin irritation and dryness. The sheet mask is packed with beauty ingredients, which keeps my skin hydrated and makes my makeup apply smoothly. The brand offers different types of masks to address various skin concerns, including hydration, anti-aging, brightening, and soothing as well as masks of unique regional specialties of Japan.

How to Use: Apply the mask to your face and leave it on for 5-10 minutes. Gently pat any remaining essence into your skin after removing the mask.

Step 3: Lotion or Cream

After hydrating your skin with facial sheet mask, I use lotion, Touvert Nano Emulsion and/or ONE BY KOSE Serum Shield for added hydration. I adjust between using lotion or cream depending on the condition of my skin. When dryness is a concern, I apply additional layers around my eyes and mouth to ensure extra moisture.

It contains human-type ceramide 3, 10% ceramide-like ingredients, amino acids, and numerous moisturizing components

I love this so much! It has Rice Power No. 11+ (Plus) which is the first active ingredient in Japan and keeps your skin moist until next morning!

Night Routine: Time to Unwind

Step 1: Double Cleansing

At night, I do a double cleanse to remove makeup and any dirt from the day. First, I use cow brand milk makeup remover when I just wear light makeup or DHC Deep Cleansing Oil when I wear heavy make-up followed by suisai clear powder Wash

For light makeup

For heavy makeup

Use Suisai Clear Powder Wash after removing makeup

Step 2: Detoxifying Face Mask

To purify my skin, I use the KISO Facial Sheet Masks which come with 24 sheet masks designed to hydrate, soothe, nourish, and refresh your skin. The package designs are also cute and packed individually that you can easily bring to your trip! My favorite sheet is EGF, NMF and Vitamin C. It gives a radiant complexion and helps to remove impurities and tighten pores, leaving my skin feeling refreshed and clean.

Super cute packages!

Step 3: Lotion or Cream

and again, I put some Touvert Nano Emulsion or ONE BY KOSE Serum Shield just like morning routine:)
